Sipho Mbadaliga CA(SA)

Chairperson

Sipho is an enterprising, astute and driven accountant currently completing his CA(SA) articles at Standard Bank. He possesses a Bachelor of Business Science Degree in Finance & Accounting and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. In addition to this, he has also passed both the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) Initial Test of Competence (ITC) and Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and will be eligible to register as a Chartered Accountant by the end of 2021. During his time at the University of Cape Town, he served as the Secretary-General of the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professional (ABSIP) UCT Chapter.

He joined Standard Bank in 2019 and has worked in various divisions within the organization. His first rotation was in the Transactional Products and Services (TPS) Finance team. He then moved on to Group Internal Reporting team and then later the Personal and Business Banking – Central Finance team. During his second year of articles, he got exposure to the Real Estate Credit team as well as the Group Internal Audit team. He is currently rotating in the Real Estate Finance team, where his role includes valuing client’s property portfolios and drafting loan applications for real estate clients that are submitted for credit approval.

Over and above being involved in property in his professional capacity, he currently serves as the Financial Director of Youth in Property Association (YIPA). He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Senchi Investments, which is a property holding and management company mainly in the student accommodation sector. He is also a member of the Student Accommodation Forum (SAF).

Teddy Ntene

Vice Chairperson: Gauteng

Teddy Ntene is an experienced property finance professional with expertise in commercial property development and infrastructure financing.

He has been involved in key property transactions, from due diligence and financial analysis to structuring and presenting credit applications. His background includes exposure to property investment feasibility, equity raising, and debt financing.

Teddy holds an MSc in Finance from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc in Property Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Wesley Craig Beneke

Vice Chairperson: Western Cape

Founder & CEO, WCB Developments and Construction

Wesley Craig Beneke is a visionary entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of WCB Developments and Construction. With over a decade of industry experience, he has built WCB into South Africa’s leading black-youth-owned construction and development firm, achieving a CIDB 8CE and 8GB grading.

Since founding WCB in 2016, Wesley has driven its growth through strategic investments in skilled personnel, high-quality craftsmanship, and efficient project execution. His leadership has positioned WCB as a major force in the construction sector.

Recognized for his entrepreneurial achievements, Wesley was ranked 13th on the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list in 2018 and named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Young South Africans in 2019. In 2022, he joined the Board of Directors at The Greater Tygerberg Partnership, contributing to urban and socio-economic development.

Committed to empowering young black entrepreneurs, Wesley continues to drive innovation and opportunity in South Africa’s construction and property development landscape.

Lusiba Moko​

Secretary​

Lusiba Moko is a qualified individual with a passion for the property industry. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Property Studies from the University of Cape Town.

Lusiba joined YIPA in 2018 as a Entrepreneurship Portfolio Project Manager for the Youth In Property
Association: Western Cape (YIPA WC). Today, as the Secretary for the Youth In Property Association (YIPA), Lusiba is dedicated to representing, protecting, and advancing the interests of young individuals within the property industry.

Lusiba currently works at Express Builders, an 8GB and 7CE rated construction firm based in the Eastern Cape. He is the manager of the workshop where he takes responsibility of fleet, human resource and expenditure management.

Thato Mohale

Deputy Secretary​

Thato Mohale is a sustainability consultant with a dual background in Finance & Investments and Property Valuation Management. She is an International Finance Corporation (IFC) EDGE Expert and recently completed the training programme with Green Building Council of South Africa and is currently a GBCSA Auditor in training.

Experienced in managing EDGE certification processes, with a keen interest in sustainability and sustainable development financing. Adept at leveraging financial skills to drive impactful sustainability initiatives.

She is the former Women’s Property Network Chairperson (Student Chapters) who oversaw events and initiatives, increasing member engagement, as well as organized leadership workshops for participants- focusing on skills like networking, negotiation and strategic thinking.

Passionate about students’ advancement and participation in the property industry. Thato joined Excel@Uni as a mentor in 2021, an organization that partners with student-funders (corporates) and universities to support students.

Duli Boehelo

Marketing Director

Duli is a financial analyst with a strong foundation in financial accounting and business development. A dedicated leader, he previously served as Events Director of the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) UCT, helping the chapter earn the Chapter of the Year award in 2018. He has also contributed to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) through roles in its accounting and marketing committees.

As a former President of the Golden Key International Honour Society UCT, Duli played a key role in fostering community engagement and establishing partnerships with organizations such as Ikamva Youth, the Peninsula School Feeding Association, and the Do More Foundation. Passionate about impact-driven investments and meaningful transformation, he remains actively involved in student development through ABSIP and continues to support initiatives that empower South Africa’s youth.

Lupo Futshane

Corporate Relations Director: Public Sector

Lupo Futshane is an Economics and Finance graduate from the University of Cape Town. He is currently pursuing his postgraduate studies at the University of Cape Town. He was appointed into the Youth In Property Association board in May 2020. In 2018 he served as the Chairperson for the Association of Black Securities and Investments Professionals (ABSIP) at the University of Cape Town, he now sits on the ABSIP National Advisory Council on student chapters.

Thato Nokaneng

Corporate Relations Director: Private Sector

Thato Nokaneng holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance, as well as a Master of Science in Finance with a specialization in Corporate Finance. With a professional focus on property finance within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division, Thato leverages their technical expertise and deep passion for the property sector to deliver strategic financial solutions that drive growth and create value in the real estate industry.
